Case Closed: Captured in Her EyesIt's not the mystery alone that makes the movie worth watching, but the action, the characters, and for some, a little added Jimmy x Rachel content. It stands up well to repeated viewings for fans based on those merits alone.

This was once the series' greatest point of intrigue, but at the cost of every other plot development, it's hard to make us care about it anymore.

Tokyo Majin DVD
Tokyo Majin does not know how to tell a comprehensible story. What it thankfully does know how to do is put on a wild, bloody show. Emotionally, the series hits some very effective highs, but it's necessary to keep your brain switched off to get any enjoyment out of the overall result.

Yeah, this series about a girl-shy young man getting unintentionally betrothed to a sexy alien princess is unabashedly trashy, but it does exactly what it intends to do: deliver a lot of fan service and a good number of effective laughs. That makes any arguments about how lowbrow or retread it is largely irrelevant.
